IYADH – In a groundbreaking development in Middle East diplomacy, Saudi Arabia has officially declared its intention to act as a double agent in the Israel-Palestine conflict. "We will vocally support Palestine in public, while secretly backing Israel," announced Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in a statement yesterday.

This unprecedented strategy comes after years of closed-door negotiations, leaked documents, and the Crown Prince's apparent realization that he can play both sides of the field.

"We felt it was time to bring our unique diplomatic approach out into the open," said the Crown Prince. "Why hide our support for Israel when we can just openly embrace our role as the region's double agent?"

Palestinian officials were reportedly stunned by the announcement, with one representative asking, "Wait, so all those times you said you had our back...?"

Meanwhile, Israeli officials seemed unfazed. "Honestly, we saw this coming," said one Israeli diplomat. "The Crown Prince has been watching too many spy movies."

Political analysts around the world are scratching their heads at this unconventional move. "This is truly a new era in diplomacy," said one expert. "Saudi Arabia has managed to turn back-channel dealings into an actual foreign policy strategy."

The U.S. State Department declined to comment on the development, though an anonymous source revealed that officials are now binge-watching James Bond films for inspiration.

It remains to be seen how this double-agent role will play out in the complex web of Middle East politics. However, one thing is for certain: the Crown Prince has certainly shaken (not stirred) the diplomatic scene.
